Junior Scientist Symposium 2.0: Path to Diverse Career Paths
On 05 September 2025, the Department of Quantitative Biomedicine (DQBM) hosted the Junior Scientist Symposium 2.0: The Path Beyond at UZH’s Irchel Campus (Y19‑J22), organized entirely by the DQBM Junior Scientists Organization (JUSCOR).
The morning featured interactive workshops on collaborative skills, managing team dynamics, and the role of generative AI in research, led by Rob Thompson, Anna Veron, and Marco Weber. In the afternoon, participants heard career stories from professionals at Lonza, Bristol‑Myers Squibb, CSL, Roche, and Novartis, followed by a panel discussion on career transitions. The day concluded with an apéro, offering informal time to connect and reflect with peers and speakers.
