Research Focus

I am an external PhD candidate supervised by Prof. Bjoern Menze since June 2019. I am employed at GE Healthcare, Munich since June 2019 and priorly at GE Global Research, Bangalore (India) from 2011 until 2019, where I have worked on various medical image analysis problems focused on healthcare products. Some of the technology developments I have contributed to include PET/MR attenuation correction, cardiac MR motion correction, and CT spine segmentation.  My current project is a partnership between GE Healthcare and EIT-Health EU research consortium. It is focused on MR-only radiation therapy where I lead the technology development for synthesising CT images from MRI with particular focus on quantitative accuracy of the translated image. I finished my M.S from IIIT-Hyderabad, India in 2011 at Centre for Visual Information Technology.

My main research interests can be summarized as:

  • Medical image analysis: image segmentation, translation, registration, quantitative imaging, and multi-modal image analysis
  • Image processing: image restoration, image quality assessment, real-time image analytics
  • Machine learning methods: Semi-/un-supervised learning, generative methods, model interpretability and uncertainty assessment, low complexity deep learning
